Bridge Project – English for interethnic cooperation

FDMC, in partnership with RIT Kosovo, brings together high-school students from Gračanica, Shtërpce and North Mitrovica for classes in English, maths, IT and entrepreneurship.

According to the application call of February 2022, FDMC, in partnership with RIT Kosovo (AUK), runs the “Bridge” project, which gathers 30–40 young people from each of the municipalities of Gračanica, Shtërpce and North Mitrovica. Participants get classes in English, maths, IT and entrepreneurship to prepare for enrolment at the university of their choice; all high-school students aged 14–18 are eligible.

An Open Day, at which young people were to learn about the project and the opportunities it offers, was scheduled for 3 March 2022 at the Civic Energy Centre in Mitrovica. Bridge is an RIT Kosovo programme that uses English as a shared language of interethnic cooperation and is supported by the US Embassy in Kosovo.
